AGNIESEBUURT STUDY
An urban study of the Agniesebuurt area in Rotterdam
Research by Robert Devir, Ola Keijer, Ren Horng Yee and Audun Hellemo
The study is a prelimenary study originally divided in 4 parts as an urban exercise starting with programmatic analysis and traffic/flow analysis - from here we started to look at "softer" facts such as approppration of the residual spaces in this quite quiet area. The area is situated in between an old housing area that survived the WWII bombings and a new commercial area based on planning principles from the 50s. By registering the flows in the area; we looked closer at two phenomenas we observed in the area while working there; one was the huge amount of posters and signs in the area - the other was empty houses along a busy street.
The study leads to our Intervention
The project is originally presented as an interactive website which will be online at the Urban Body Website.
