COMPETITION FOR BEST GINGERBREAD BUILDING
Designed by: Gunhild Vik, Ørjan Husby, Ivar Lyngner, Eskild Andersen, Hedvig Øberg and Audun Hellemo
Quite a pressure was on the gang that had achieved such success the last two years, winning the jury prize in 2001, and the people's prize in 2002. This year there was simply no question who winner had to be. The assignment was "Stol på meg"/"Trust me" (stol=chair), hence the library's collection of miniature chairs. Combining skillful modelmaking with another funny word play, we created the "Stoleulv" - the "Chairwolf" - a huge sculpture made out of a simple chair module and decorated with designer chair facade elements.
In a scandalous jury-session some mediocre interpretation of Bush won the jury prize, however "Stoleulv" won the people's awards for the second time to massive applause. Is this what you call a hat trick?
